Breakfast at Highcliffe B&B
Our breakfasts are made to order as we like to offer you our local ingrediants as fresh as possible and as you fancy them. Full fry ups can get a bit to filling after a couple of days so we also offer a daily special which changes everyday. We felt it was a nice way to offer you something a little different if you fancy it. Specials are made to order too so choice is the order of the day at Highcliffe.
Breakfast in the dining room is between 8.15am and 9am just to order and then you are welcome to stay as long as you like and we'll just keep topping you up with tea.
When we went to B&Bs we never got up in time for breakfast because quite frankly we were on holiday! So why not book the Idle Bird option so unlike us, you don't have to go hungry. Placed outside your room between 9.30am and 10am this free of charge service includes; warm Kernow bacon and Cornish scrambled barn eggs on a toasted muffin, original Alpen, Cornish whole milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit yogurt, fruit salad and a teapot with Twinings breakfast tea (coffee is already available in your room) all served in cute English picnic basket. We will gently knock your door and slip a little 'breakfast is served' note under your door. We won't clean your room on Idle Bird day...twould be a bit awkward my luver but you are welcome to leave your tea tray outside your room during the morning and we will replenish it straight away.If you would like this service please book at least 24 hours in advance. Just email us on email@example.com. Idle Bird is unavailable on the day of your departure unless you have pre booked the late check out. (Late check out extends your departure until noon and incurs a £15.00 supplement).
Oh no! You mean you have to leave early? Poor you! No problem though, we can still feed you. Book our Early Bird option.
Placed outside your room at 7.30am the Early Bird option will allow you to head out on time. This free of charge service includes; coissant or fresh bread with Cornish butter, jam, original Alpen, Cornish whole milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit yoghurt, fruit salad and a teapot with Twinings breakfast tea (coffee is already available in your room). Yes it's served very nicely in our nice wicker picnic basket. If you would like this service please book at least 24 hours in advance. Just email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.

When it comes to support, a pocket sprung mattress is considered the very best. The principle behind a pocket sprung mattress is that the mattress springs are not jointed, and can therefore work independently of each other. This means that a very large and a very small person will both enjoy the same comfort personal to them whilst sleeping in the same bed. A pocket sprung mattress contains individual springs, each sewn into its own fabric pocket, held under tensions and hand tufted, locking in generous amounts of fillings.
With Highcliffe's pocket sprung mattresses you can be sure it will contour to the shape of your body like a soft mattress, with the pocket mattress adapting to your individual shape to provide head-to-toe support like a firm mattress. Brilliant!
At Highcliffe we dress each bed with natural duck and down feather duvets and pillows. Feather duvets are light, help the body breath, keep your warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They are a medium tog with 85% duck feather, 15% down and a 100% cotton pocketed cover.
Our pillows are soft, light and full of air and mould around the shape of your body for perfect support and comfort. Just a quick pat refills the feathers with air and the pillows resume their plump shape.
We are also able to supply manmade fibre bedding in the case of feather allergies. We will always ask you when you call to book your room.
