What time is check in? Any time between 4pm and 6pm. This is because unlike a hotel we don't have 24 hour check in our a night porter - keeps the room rates lower. We do everything ourselves so the hours between 4pm & 6pm are when we promise to be back home after running errands in the early afternoon. You are welcome to call us (01326 314466) if you arrive a little early as we may be in. There are no guarantees outside these times though we are sorry.
Can I check in earlier? An express check in is offered between 10am and 12 noon. Please tell us in advance if you would like to use this service. It is unlikely that your room will be ready but you are welcome to take your key and leave your bags with us while you explore Falmouth. Your bags will be put in your room once it is ready. Please understand that we will be very busy during this time preparing rooms as quickly as possible and checking guests out. If you prefer to check in more leisurely and when your room is ready, the kettle is on between 4pm and 6pm.
Can I check in later? Please, please don't book before you have called us on 01326 314466 as you will be charged your non refundable deposit. It may be possible so please talk to us about your circumstance.
What time is check out? Before 10am on the day of departure.
Can I check out later? There is a late check out service available for a surcharge of £15.00 which allows you to check out at 12 o’clock. If you would like this service please tell us in advance.
What time is breakfast? Breakfast is served between 8.15am and 9am. Once your order is made you are welcome to sit and enjoy your meal for as long as you like. CLICK HERE for more information.
Can I have an early breakfast? Yes we can offer you our ‘Early Bird, breakfast picnic. CLICK HERE for more information. There is no extra cost for this service just arrange at time of booking or 24 hours in advance. Please don't ask for times other than those detailed as our schedule is very tight and carefully planned so that all guests are looked after equally. If our times are wholly unsuitable and you are not happy to void your breakfast you may like to consider a hotel.
Can I have a late breakfast? Yes of course. We can offer you the ‘Idle Bird' breakfast picnic. CLICK HERE for more information. There is no extra cost for this service just arrange at time of booking or 24 hours in advance. This service is not available on the day of your departure unless you have agreed a late check out in advance.
Do you cater for special diets? Oh yes. Gluton free, dairy free and vegetarian. We always ask when you book and when you arrive but you are more than welcome to call us or even bring your own ingrediants.
Do you have hairdryers? Yes. See our rooms page for a list of things in each room.
Can I bring a pet? We love pets but sadly we found that not everyone feels the same. Regrettably we do not take pets.
Do you have pets? Yes we do. We have a Hungarian Vizla dog, a black and white cat and a fish. You won't come across them unless you ask because we never let them into the B&B. They live with us in our seperate apartment below the B&B.
Do you accept children? Children above the age of eight are very welcome. This is because we don't have family rooms at Highcliffe B&B. We do not accommodate more than two persons per double room. Parents must be happy for children to occupy their own room. All rooms have their own keys.
Can we book a parking space? To be fair to all guests we do not researve parking. Don't let this worry you. We have 8 rooms and 6 spaces with ample free parking all around the house. You won't have to take more than a few steps with your suitcases. Certainly no park and rides here.
Which is the larger bedroom in the house? Rm7 the penthouse suite. Rm8 is next and also has the largest bathroom and the only bath and then Rm2. We always recommend Rm7 and Rm8 for long stays.
How may rooms have a bath? Rm8 is the only room with a bath.
Which rooms are your twin rooms? Rm8 is our only twin room.
Can we cancel and get our deposit back? IAt time of booking you will have been made aware that deposits are non refundable and that there are no exceptions.
How far are you from Tremough? No distance at all - 4 miles which takes about 8 minutes by car. You can also get a train from Falmouth Town Station which is a 3 minute walk from Highcliffe B&B or you can take a bus from Wood Lane which is a five minute walk. Donalds Taxi's will take you there for around £15.00 (01326 313 123).
How far are you from Wood Lane? Less than a mile away so about a five minute walk. Call us and we can send you a like to a loca map.
How far are you from the town centre? We are a five minute walk to the start of time or The Maritime Museum. It takes about 20 minutes to walk the entire lenght of the town.
How far are you from the Beach? We are an 8 minute walk to our local blue flag beach; Gylly Beach or a few seconds walk from the seafront.
How far are you from the Princess Pavillions? 1 minute.
How far are you from Pendennis Castle? We are a 15 minute walk along the seafront or a 2 minute drive. If you are coming for a wedding we recommend a taxi if you're wearing heels. Donalds Taxi's 01326 313 123.
How far are you from The Falmouth Hotel or St Michaels Hotel? Less than a 10 minute walk to each or a 2 minute taxi ride.
Do you have a pool? We wish! If you would like to use a pool you can visit The Falmouth Hotel or St Michaels for about £8.00 per day or £5.00 per visit. We can possibly arrange a free pool ticket with The Falmouth Hotel if you tell us in advance.
