Highcliffe Guesthouse - Contemporary Bed & Breakfast in Falmouth

We are always refurbishing our rooms at Highcliffe and this year it's the turn of Rm4. (Please ignore the photos as these are as the room was. New room photos will be posted soon). It's our best room for those travelling alone and on a budget because it's priced at just £40 during low season and £50 in high season. It's outstanding value yet still offers all the five star trimmings. So what's good about it then? Well Rm4 is much more cosey now because of the bespoke day bed. We found that guests staying alone in their room don't much like to sit on a chair unless they are sat at a desk on a computer. So now Rm4 has a day bed so you can lounge away the hours in comfort. There's also a chair don't worry. Our favourite piece: a really cool vintage gentlemans wardrobe is the perfect place for one person to arrange their luggage. It's brilliant and it took ages to find it. This year the design is Jocelyn Warner wallpaper with a bright white paint finish above the picture rail and a couple of interesting light fittings. The curtains are black out so you can treat yourself to a lie in on the new bed. Oh yes, the bed is new too. Top of the list for guests is powerful shower, fluffy towels, great breakfast and a comfortable bed. Well tick, tick, tick, tick Rm4 has got it.

Rm4 is smashin' but nothing we can do will provide the harbour view. (We did look into the cost of rotating the house a few degrees but that was just way too expensive). If a single room overlooking the harbour remains your number one requirement then have no fear, click to Rm6 for another lovely room but with a gorgeous town and harbour view. For those of you who will be out all day and only in at night go for Rm4; it's a budget busting beauty.
